Does it feel like your worries and fears prevent you from living the life you want to live? Do you find it difficult to be present because you are either worrying about the future or ruminating about the past?  If you want to learn how to move forward when you feel stuck in your head, you have come to the right place, and I am so excited that you are here. I help clients ditch worry, rumination, and unhelpful habits for a more mindful, motivated, and compassionate way of being.

My approach is founded on principles from mindfulness-based and compassion-based cognitive behavioral therapies (CFT, ACT, and DBT). We’ll work together to create the tools you need to manage stress and difficult emotions. Through our work, you’ll explore what’s most important to you and use your new tools to create a life of freedom, growth, and meaning.

I work with clients who struggle with anxiety and mood. I’m a Health at Every Size-aligned therapist and help clients with body image concerns to accept and love their bodies and practice intuitive eating. If my approach resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you!

There are points in our lives that offer unique opportunities for change and growth. Often these moments are accompanied by painful emotions such as fear, worry, anger, or sadness. This is particularly true in today’s trying times where our familiar routines and usual sources of coping have been disrupted. However, it is precisely this “suffering” which if witnessed, held, and explored in a compassionate and honest manner can fuel true personal growth. If you find yourself struggling, then it may the right time to begin the work of improving your wellbeing.

While my overall approach to therapy is guided by contemporary psychodynamic principles, I work in a flexible and individualized manner, incorporating elements of CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation and coping skills practice, all in the context of a strong therapeutic relationship. Together we can look at what maintains current difficulties, while simultaneously trying to understand the contributions of past experience, and how our thoughts and actions often impede our desired change. My goal is to meet you where you are, while guiding you toward change through insight, acceptance, and new experiences and behavior.

Having experienced my own immigration and cultural adjustment to the US, I am very aware of the role of  culture in the lives of my clients. I have worked with culturally diverse adults, adolescents, and children across various settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and college counseling centers. I strive to maintain an ongoing curiosity and safe space as relates to the impact of culture on each individual’s personal development and history. As a former practicing attorney, I also understand the challenges of high-stress occupations and the difficulty of attempting to maintain a work-life balance, which often leaves us feeling overwhelmed.

If you feel ready to take the first steps toward working through personal struggles and work toward self-improvement, please reach out.

I am a compassionate and warm therapist with experience supporting folks struggling with anxiety, trauma, gender, sexuality, depression, stress management, relationship crises and more. With the constant uncertainty and oppression that so many people face in today’s world, it can be difficult to feel safe in your body and continue to grow in your self and relationships. I help clients build more tolerance to manage these experiences, thoughts and feelings, and to challenge the avoidance that may be exacerbating symptoms of depression, trauma and anxiety.
I use an integrated, trauma-informed approach and draw from Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and TF-CBT. I am sex/kink positive, support the Health at Every Size (HAES) model, and specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community.
Reaching out for support is a courageous first step, and I commend you for that! You are the expert on your life and body, I can help support you in that, and provide another perspective to welcome meaningful change. I bring a deep sense of warmth, compassion, empathy, humor, and collaboration to every session, and hope that I can be a good fit for you.

Some people describe looking for a therapist to be like shopping for shoes- there’s no one size fits all! Part of what I love so much about my role is that this sentiment really is true, that there is no one formula to match all people. It is my goal to see the full you and to provide what you uniquely need as the dynamic human that you are. I honor your personal values, past experiences and place in the world. Above all, I prioritize a feeling of relational safety, and I don’t subscribe to the idea that therapy needs to be uncomfortable or overwhelming; I care about your limits and boundaries and I trust your intuition.

I have a special interest in supporting people in mourning and grief, to find life that exists within loss. This includes grief not only related to death and dying, but also complicated grief, transition of identity or position in life, change in relationships, and the many ways we might feel loss from what or who is significant to us.

Inspired by my work as an artist, I see my approach as though a mosaic. I consider psychodynamic and relational models alongside somatic and mindfulness-based CBTs, to find the best fit for you. I can help you find meaning in your life to increase your feelings of peace and vitality. You are worth this expansion, and I’d be honored to join you!

Sometimes it feels impossible to get out of our own heads, as though worries, fears, and stressors are taking over your life. Or maybe you feel like it’s difficult to understand and accept yourself. No matter your struggles or stressors, I am so glad you’re here. You have already taken the first step!
Therapy is built on trust, connection, and empathy. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a space that works for them, utilizing relational therapies (such as internal family systems) and compassion-based cognitive behavioral therapies (ACT, CBT, and DBT) to help clients tolerate difficult emotions, gain insight into their experiences and symptoms, and explore all parts of themselves. Through our work together, we will explore your values and motivations, create a compassionate internal dialogue, and foster a trusting space for you to grow.
Though I work with all sorts of clients, I am also a Health at Every Size aligned therapist, having a special interest in healing an individual’s relationship with food and their body. I operate from an anti-diet, intuitive eating approach, and love helping people unlearn diet culture’s rules. My other interests include relationship concerns, healing from trauma, anxiety, and integrating different identities. I work with both individuals and couples.
If you’re feeling ready to make a lasting change in a warm, safe (and even sometimes fun) space, please reach out. I can’t wait to meet you!

Do you feel disconnected from your authentic self? Are you having trouble being in the present moment? Do you find it difficult to stay grounded and responsive to your changing needs?

It can be overwhelming to articulate or even know what is best for us in general and certainly during times of transition, stress, and/or crisis. Knowing what the next best right action for you when you’re uncertain or unsteady can feel elusive and terrifying.

I believe that you have everything you need to to succeed; I am here to help you access it. I work to guide clients in validating their experiences and expressing their feelings safely without victimization. Through personalized insight and psychoeducation, we work as a team in developing tools of self-regulation to empower and (re)establish a feeling of security and trust within the body and mind so you can feel confident in your next steps.

As a Pilates instructor in addition to being a social worker, I have substantial experience and understanding of the mind-body connection and how daily life, stress, trauma and injury impacts both. During our session we will focus on mindfully staying connected to the body during big emotions or sensations, strengthen executive functioning skills, and develop your authentic voice while working towards your goals.

My approach is holistic, strengths based and mindfully driven, based in trauma-informed somatic work. I draw primarily from the evidence-based practices of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to promote empowerment. I work with individuals across the age span, as well as couples and families. I look forward to the opportunity to connect and partner with you on your pursuit of discovery and self-care.

I believe that when we are given a compassionate space to explore our emotions, behaviors, and experiences, the opportunities for growth are endless. As a therapist, I honor the vulnerability and courage it takes to engage in this process. While working on our suffering can feel overwhelming, I pay careful attention to go at the appropriate pace that will be most beneficial to your healing process. You are the expert on your life and I prioritize connecting you with the depth of your own strengths, intuition, and wisdom.
I use evidence-based therapies (CBT, ERP, DBT, and ACT) to support those struggling with OCD, anxiety-related disorders, eating disorders, and more. I incorporate trauma-informed psychodynamic, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches to help survivors of trauma better understand their reactions, develop internal resources, and experience relief.
Together, we will create a treatment plan that is based upon your individual needs. I am dedicated to bringing warmth, empathy, and open-heartedness to each session. I would be honored to support you in your healing journey!

Desires drive our lives—what we want, when, and how. Our efforts are focused on moving towards what we desire and away from what we do not want. The more inflexible or rigid our desires become, the more disappointment and anger we feel when faced with undesired outcomes. Frequently, in our pursuit of fulfilling these desires, we may drift away from aligning with our values or becoming the person we aspire to be. And that can be painful.

Anxiety and fear often become ingrained habits aimed at avoiding undesired outcomes—”a need for control to achieve what I want or to ensure I don’t get what I fear.” This can be overwhelming and can hijack our systems, making it difficult to process. However, it’s essential to recognize that this is just a habit.

Through the practice of compassion, we can learn to accept our habits without resorting to punishment or shame, gradually developing antidote habits. Drawing inspiration from my artistic and spiritual practice, along with my training in ACT and DBT, my therapeutic style is processing-oriented. I focus on understanding the roots and underlying metaphysics that underpin our suffering. I also incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork to encourage embodied values and flexibility.

I am dedicated to your well-being—ensuring you feel secure, loved, valued, and understood in your journey. I respect everything that emerges in the therapeutic space. I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship that is kind, authentic, and genuine. My focus is on gaining clear insights into your emotions, thought processes, and the environmental challenges that affect you. Above all, my commitment is to support your growth, empowerment, and, most importantly, your happiness.

I believe that every person has a fundamental right to internal harmony, healthy relationships, and the ability to build a fulfilling and enriching life. In my therapy practice, I aim to guide individuals on a path of self-discovery, self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and growth by creating a non-judgmental environment where clients can explore and address their challenges.

I often work with individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal and intimacy challenges, grief, and emotion dysregulation. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by their emotions, struggling to manage their daily lives, feeling stuck or lost, or craving a deeper understanding of themselves. I understand that each person’s path to healing is unique, and involves more than just addressing symptoms; it encompasses nurturing the whole person.

My approach is integrative, blending evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness with the transformative potential of mind/body awareness, art, and spirituality.  My clinical style is warm, attentive, flexible, and curious. Above all, I aim to ensure that my clients feel seen, heard, accepted, and loved throughout their journey of self-discovery, healing, and integration of all aspects of themselves as they cultivate a greater sense of inner peace, personal liberation, and overall life stability.
