Does it feel like your worries and fears prevent you from living the life you want to live? Do you find it difficult to be present because you are either worrying about the future or ruminating about the past?  If you want to learn how to move forward when you feel stuck in your head, you have come to the right place, and I am so excited that you are here. I help clients ditch worry, rumination, and unhelpful habits for a more mindful, motivated, and compassionate way of being.

My approach is founded on principles from mindfulness-based and compassion-based cognitive behavioral therapies (CFT, ACT, and DBT). We’ll work together to create the tools you need to manage stress and difficult emotions. Through our work, you’ll explore what’s most important to you and use your new tools to create a life of freedom, growth, and meaning.

I work with clients who struggle with anxiety and mood. I’m a Health at Every Size-aligned therapist and help clients with body image concerns to accept and love their bodies and practice intuitive eating. If my approach resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you!

There are points in our lives that offer unique opportunities for change and growth. Often these moments are accompanied by painful emotions such as fear, worry, anger, or sadness. This is particularly true in today’s trying times where our familiar routines and usual sources of coping have been disrupted. However, it is precisely this “suffering” which if witnessed, held, and explored in a compassionate and honest manner can fuel true personal growth. If you find yourself struggling, then it may the right time to begin the work of improving your wellbeing.

While my overall approach to therapy is guided by contemporary psychodynamic principles, I work in a flexible and individualized manner, incorporating elements of CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation and coping skills practice, all in the context of a strong therapeutic relationship. Together we can look at what maintains current difficulties, while simultaneously trying to understand the contributions of past experience, and how our thoughts and actions often impede our desired change. My goal is to meet you where you are, while guiding you toward change through insight, acceptance, and new experiences and behavior.

Having experienced my own immigration and cultural adjustment to the US, I am very aware of the role of  culture in the lives of my clients. I have worked with culturally diverse adults, adolescents, and children across various settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and college counseling centers. I strive to maintain an ongoing curiosity and safe space as relates to the impact of culture on each individual’s personal development and history. As a former practicing attorney, I also understand the challenges of high-stress occupations and the difficulty of attempting to maintain a work-life balance, which often leaves us feeling overwhelmed.

If you feel ready to take the first steps toward working through personal struggles and work toward self-improvement, please reach out.

I am a compassionate and warm therapist with experience supporting folks struggling with anxiety, trauma, gender, sexuality, depression, stress management, relationship crises and more. With the constant uncertainty and oppression that so many people face in today’s world, it can be difficult to feel safe in your body and continue to grow in your self and relationships. I help clients build more tolerance to manage these experiences, thoughts and feelings, and to challenge the avoidance that may be exacerbating symptoms of depression, trauma and anxiety.
I use an integrated, trauma-informed approach and draw from Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and TF-CBT. I am sex/kink positive, support the Health at Every Size (HAES) model, and specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community.
Reaching out for support is a courageous first step, and I commend you for that! You are the expert on your life and body, I can help support you in that, and provide another perspective to welcome meaningful change. I bring a deep sense of warmth, compassion, empathy, humor, and collaboration to every session, and hope that I can be a good fit for you.

Sometimes it feels impossible to get out of our own heads, as though worries, fears, and stressors are taking over your life. Or maybe you feel like it’s difficult to understand and accept yourself. No matter your struggles or stressors, I am so glad you’re here. You have already taken the first step!
Therapy is built on trust, connection, and empathy. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a space that works for them, utilizing relational therapies (such as internal family systems) and compassion-based cognitive behavioral therapies (ACT, CBT, and DBT) to help clients tolerate difficult emotions, gain insight into their experiences and symptoms, and explore all parts of themselves. Through our work together, we will explore your values and motivations, create a compassionate internal dialogue, and foster a trusting space for you to grow.
Though I work with all sorts of clients, I am also a Health at Every Size aligned therapist, having a special interest in healing an individual’s relationship with food and their body. I operate from an anti-diet, intuitive eating approach, and love helping people unlearn diet culture’s rules. My other interests include relationship concerns, healing from trauma, anxiety, and integrating different identities. I work with both individuals and couples.
If you’re feeling ready to make a lasting change in a warm, safe (and even sometimes fun) space, please reach out. I can’t wait to meet you!

Desires drive our lives—what we want, when, and how. Our efforts are focused on moving towards what we desire and away from what we do not want. The more inflexible or rigid our desires become, the more disappointment and anger we feel when faced with undesired outcomes. Frequently, in our pursuit of fulfilling these desires, we may drift away from aligning with our values or becoming the person we aspire to be. And that can be painful.

Anxiety and fear often become ingrained habits aimed at avoiding undesired outcomes—”a need for control to achieve what I want or to ensure I don’t get what I fear.” This can be overwhelming and can hijack our systems, making it difficult to process. However, it’s essential to recognize that this is just a habit.

Through the practice of compassion, we can learn to accept our habits without resorting to punishment or shame, gradually developing antidote habits. Drawing inspiration from my artistic and spiritual practice, along with my training in ACT and DBT, my therapeutic style is processing-oriented. I focus on understanding the roots and underlying metaphysics that underpin our suffering. I also incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork to encourage embodied values and flexibility.

I am dedicated to your well-being—ensuring you feel secure, loved, valued, and understood in your journey. I respect everything that emerges in the therapeutic space. I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship that is kind, authentic, and genuine. My focus is on gaining clear insights into your emotions, thought processes, and the environmental challenges that affect you. Above all, my commitment is to support your growth, empowerment, and, most importantly, your happiness.

Change can be disorienting—even when it’s expected. If you’re facing illness or injury, identity shifts, loss, or other major transitions, you may feel stuck between who you were and who you’re becoming. I specialize in helping people meet these moments with steadiness and self-compassion. My approach blends psychodynamic therapy with compassion and mindfulness-based practices to deepen present-moment awareness, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and build acceptance and commitment to the life you want to live.

We’ll work collaboratively to understand how these changes impact your emotions, relationships, and daily functioning. You’ll learn practical tools to regulate difficult feelings, reduce reactivity, and re-engage with your values. Over time, this process can foster resilience, meaning, and a more authentic connection to yourself.

In addition to psychotherapy, I conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for adult clients. These diagnostic and psychoeducational assessments provide clarity regarding complex presentations, inform treatment plans, and can be instrumental in supporting academic or legal decisions.

If you’re ready to move forward—at your own pace—I invite you to reach out for a brief consultation.

Are you feeling lost in your life? Do you need help figuring out your true self? Therapy can be a place to help discover who you are and what you want out of life. As a therapist, I believe in treating my clients as whole people who are on their own unique journeys. I am here to help you live an authentic life while navigating all the challenges of living in this world.

My approach is one of compassion, support and non-judgment. As a psychologist trained in multiple modalities, I take an integrative and individualized approach to each client’s treatment. I strongly believe there is no such thing as “one size fits all” in therapy.

As someone who grew up in two different countries, I appreciate the influence that our environments and cultures play in our lives. I strive to help my clients understand the influence of their backgrounds in their lives, and how to healthily build their own identities. I have worked with adults and adolescents of diverse backgrounds, and I approach every individual’s unique story with curiosity and compassion.

With compassion and curiosity, I embrace the complexities of the human psyche, guiding exploration and growth. I am an integrative psychotherapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship issues, existential concerns, and the myriad stressors that come with being human. Do you feel disconnected from your authentic self? Are you having trouble being in the present moment? Do you find it difficult to stay grounded and responsive to your changing needs?

It can be overwhelming to articulate or even know what is best for us in general and certainly during times of transition, stress, and/or crisis. Knowing what the next best right action for you when you’re uncertain or unsteady can feel elusive and terrifying.

I believe that you have everything you need to to succeed; I am here to help you access it. I work to guide clients in validating their experiences and expressing their feelings safely without victimization. Through personalized insight and psychoeducation, we work as a team in developing tools of self-regulation to empower and (re)establish a feeling of security and trust within the body and mind so you can feel confident in your next steps.

As a Pilates instructor in addition to being a social worker, I have substantial experience and understanding of the mind-body connection and how daily life, stress, trauma and injury impacts both. During our session we will focus on mindfully staying connected to the body during big emotions or sensations, strengthen executive functioning skills, and develop your authentic voice while working towards your goals.

My approach is holistic, strengths based and mindfully driven, based in trauma-informed somatic work. I draw primarily from the evidence-based practices of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to promote empowerment. I work with individuals across the age span, as well as couples and families. I look forward to the opportunity to connect and partner with you on your pursuit of discovery and self-care.

Within us all is an innate drive for growth and self discovery. But let’s face it, growth and change can be daunting and disorienting – often leaving us with a feeling of not knowing how to take the first step, or how to navigate the next chapter in our journey. If you’ve been feeling that this is a season for learning more about yourself and growing into a more whole version of you, please take a moment to applaud your courage! In my practice, my guiding priority is to honor your courage and instincts, the strategies you’ve used to get yourself to this point in your life, and your potential to nurture and adopt new understandings, behaviors, and tools which reflect your truest self.

I believe in a holistic approach which attends to the mind, body, and spirit. In doing so, I draw from Feminist-Multicultural, social justice, and compassion-based modalities which conceptualize a person both as a deeply unique individual and as someone who lives within the vast contextual web of societal expectations, roles, injustices, and supports. Of the skills which I have gleaned in my training as a clinician, I most value the opportunities I have had to nurture an ever-evolving practice of cultural humility. Above all else, it is my primary goal to create a safe and welcoming space for clients from all walks of life, cultures, and belief systems. Whoever you are, and however you identify, you are welcome and valued here.

In supporting the whole person, I specialize in Somatic and Mindfulness approaches, which attend to the fact that all of our minds and spirits live inside a body whose systems deeply affect our mental wellness. I welcome clients who wish to include their spiritual lives in their therapeutic journey and am proud to have fostered years of experience in working with folks of many spiritual traditions. I also have a particular specialty in women’s health and am proud to have worked with girls and women across the lifespan in navigating the unique challenges, beauties, and often little-spoken nuances of navigating life and society as a woman. Creative and artistic folks have often found their way to my practice and, with a background in the arts myself, I am honored to also serve this inspiring community.

Finding the right therapist can be nerve-racking, so here’s our simple first step: If you feel we may be a good fit in working together on your therapeutic journey, let’s set up a brief consultation call and chat. I welcome the opportunity to learn about you and how we can work together to take the next step in your journey

As a therapist, I believe that healing begins in relationship: with ourselves, with others, and within the therapy room. I bring warmth, empathy, and authenticity into our sessions, creating a space where you can show up just as you are. My hope is that you feel safe, seen, and deeply understood as we navigate your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together.

My approach is integrative, blending relational psychodynamic work with person-centered, compassionate care. I believe that the stories we carry, especially those rooted in past experiences, shape how we presently move through the world. Together, we will explore those stories, honor your emotions, and make space for growth and healing. I see therapy as a collaborative process tailored to your needs, guided by curiosity, and grounded in trust.

I value working with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship challenges. I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and honoring the complexity of the intersecting identities each person brings. More than anything, I want our work to feel like a partnership. One that helps you honor your voice, build inner trust, and create meaningful change.

Hi, I’m Tsipora, the Client Care Coordinator at The Compassion Practice. I’m here to support you from the very first step in your therapy journey. When you reach out, I’ll take the time to listen, understand what you’re looking for, and help connect you with a therapist who feels like the right fit, someone who can truly support your needs, goals, and comfort.
With a creative background and personal experience navigating mental health, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help. I care deeply about making this process as easy, supportive, and welcoming as possible. My goal is for you to feel heard, cared for, and at ease, even before your first session.

Alongside working directly with new clients, I also help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes so our team can focus on what they do best: showing up with presence and compassion for the people we serve.

Whether you’re feeling ready or just exploring your options, I’m here if you have questions or need guidance. You don’t have to do it alone — I’m here to help.
